Exciting Update:Registrations for the 2010 Tails & Trails 5k & 10K races are now being accepted at PAWS. PAWS is located in the Killearn Center, next to Learning Express, along from Publix and Bone Fish. IMPORTANTPlease note that new for this year’s race participants will park in the softball field opposite to the Tallahassee Animal Service Center. Easterwood Drive will be closed at 8am the day of the event. Traffic will be redirected to enter Tom Brown Park on Conner Blvd. from Capital Circle. Please leave a few minutes to park and walk to the registration area that will be located in the parking lot of the Shelter. Registration starts at 7:30am and race at 8:30am. See you there! Race Information Grab your sneakers, bring your competitive edge, and feel the build of intensity as we move closer to the closing seconds of our 9th annual trail run and fun walk. Join us Saturday, May 1st for our Tails & Trails run where the 10k portion of the race has been selected as a Grand Prix event of the Gulf Winds Track Club! Our 5k+, 10k, and one mile trails take you through scenic Tom Brown Park before ending at the Animal Service Center, where you can enjoy music, feed your hunger, and meet potential furry additions to your home.The run serves as a fundraising and community service event to aid hundreds of homeless animals in the care of the Animal Service Center. The Animal Service Center is a regional animal shelter, owned by the City of Tallahassee, but serves the surrounding community. Our “animal shelter” is an open-admission facility that took in almost 11,000 animals in 2009. Are you
up to the challenge? Only through combined efforts on a community scale
can we truly reduce pet overpopulation and abuse. Please help us make
a difference in their lives. And let them make a difference in yours.
